American GI Forum Report: DEL RIO, Texas – This is an update on the Passing of Commander Jose ‘Joe’ Martinez. His wife, Mrs. Tina Martinez, informed the State Office that her husband Jose “Joe” Martinez, passed away on July 9, at approximately 8:28 pm. We, as members of the American GI Forum of Texas (AGIF) saddened at the news stayed in communication with her regarding any details and/or arrangements. Tina was kept in isolation for 14 days because Joe’s death was a result of COVID-19. Because of this, arrangements were delayed. We are pleased to report that Tina is doing well and thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
