American GI Forum of Texas, Inc. Will Hold 77th Annual Conference in San Marcos, July 26-27

The American GI Forum of Texas, Inc. The American GI Forum of Texas, Inc. (AGIFTX) Commanders Jesse Aguilera and Chairwoman Sylvia Garza announced that the upcoming 2025 Conference will be held in San Marcos, Texas, from June 25-27, 2025. The Austin Women’s Chapter, in collaboration with the AGIFTX office, will host the conference.

The designated hotel for attendees is the Hilton Garden Inn in San Marcos. Conference Agenda Overview
The conference will commence with the ratification of the AGIF Texas Constitution as the first order of business. Proper notifications have been sent to all Officers and Local Commanders/Chairs via email to those in our database. We warmly invite all members in good standing to participate!
Registration opens at 9:00 AM on Friday, followed by an Executive Board meeting at 10:00 AM, if deemed necessary by the Commander. AGIFTX Officers and Region Commanders will be present, and Local Commanders and Chairs are also encouraged to attend.
The registration fee for the conference is $160.00 per person, covering daily breakfast, a welcome luncheon, a commanders’ dinner, a Women’s Leadership Luncheon, and a farewell reception featuring Rudy’s Barbecue and entertainment.
The conference is set to conclude at 4:00 PM on Saturday, with a potential extension until 5:00 PM. The agenda will include a report on the Executive Session, workshops, and business discussions on various topics such as the previous conference, updates on ongoing national issues, financial matters, budget reviews, proposed constitutional amendments, and significant IRS designations affecting our local chapters’ statuses and member dues.
It is essential for all meetings to be well attended as the agenda will provide updates on our organization’s status as a Texas non-profit Corporation. All attendees in good standing are encouraged to participate in discussions and may vote on various resolutions. Resolutions that are passed will be forwarded to the appropriate entities for further action.
