2025 Spring Mid-Year Board of Directors Meeting

 

The American GI Forum of Texas, Inc.: AUSTIN, Texas – State Commander Jesse Aguilera has called for the Board of Directors regularly scheduled Mid-Year Conference on Saturday March 29, 2025, from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm in San Marcos, Texas. The San Marcos Sgt. JP Narvaiz Memorial Women’s Forum will host the meeting to be held at the San Marcos Chapter Facilities 415 S. Mitchell Street in San Marcos. For information Gil Rodriguez at the State Office at: (512) 992-7066. If you plan to arrive Thursday, please call Sylvia or the State office for hotel information. Some Hotels are close to the site on the west side of IH 35. The state did not block rooms in any hotel for this one-day meeting.

 This meeting will Include approval of the AGIF Texas Constitution, and this meeting is considered a Special Constitutional meeting. Ratification will be at the State Conference. Proper Notices have been sent to all Officers and Local Commanders/Chairs via E-mailed to those in our data base. All members are welcome!

 Registration is at 9:00 am and the Board meeting will start at 10:30 am Saturday. State Officers, and all Region Commanders and Chairs are urged to attend. Local Commanders and Chairs are invited. Registration for the meeting is $40.00 per person which includes continental breakfast, coffee and refreshments and a catered lunch. Meeting is scheduled to conclude at 4:00 pm but may run until 5:00 pm. An Executive Session is scheduled prior to the meeting, so officers, please try to be on time.

The meeting agenda includes a report on the Executive Session that will include items that need to be addressed prior to the meeting. An Agenda will be provided for all registered attendees. Items will include the past Conferences, and issues relative to its outcome. Finance, Budget, Constitution amendments, State and Federal Charter, IRS designations of importance to our local Chapters’ status and member dues and assessments. Board travel and some proposed plans by the Board will be on the agenda. Every meeting is important. complete state and financial reports by AGIF Texas Office and by the Executive Board are scheduled report on the review our status as a Texas non-profit Corporation. Everyone present, in good standing and registered, will be permitted to participate in discussions. Only Board members may vote. Some items such resolutions, although passed, will be referred to the State Conference in June or early July.

The next duly called Board meeting is our 2025 Conference in June/July will be in Austin, Texas. National issues including the National Conference scheduled for Texas will be discussed. Updates for all events will be posted on the Texas AGIF website.
